Act
of Contrition
O my God,
I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee
and I detest all my sins,
because I dread the loss of heaven and the pains of hell,
but most of all because they offend Thee, my God,
Who are all good and deserving of all my love.
I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace,
to confess my sins, to do penance,
and to amend my life. Amen.

Act of Faith
O my God, I firmly believe that You are One
God in Three Divine Persons, Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit; I believe
that Your Divine Son became man, and died for our sins, and that He
will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe these
and all the truths which the Holy Catholic Church teaches, because
You have revealed them, Who can neither deceive nor be deceived.

Prayer for All Needs
We beg You, Lord, to help and defend us. Deliver
the oppressed. Pity the insignificant. Raise the fallen. Show Yourself
to the needy. Heal the sick. Bring back those of Your people who have
gone astray. Feed the hungry. Lift up the weak. Take off the prisoner's
chains.
May every nation come to know that You alone are God, that Jesus is
Your Child, that we are Your people, the sheep the You pasture.

Gracious Father, we pray to You for Your holy
Catholic Church. Fill it with Your truth. Keep it in Your peace. Where
it is corrupt reform it. Where it is in error, correct it. Where it
is right, defend it. Where it is in want, provide for it. Where it
is divided, reunite it; for the sake of Your Son, our Savior Jesus
Christ. Amen.
Almighty and eternal God, you keep together those you have united.
Look kindly on all who follow Jesus, your Son. We are all consecrated
to you by our common baptism; make us one in the fullness of faith

Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the

to Jesus
Lord Jesus Christ, take all my freedom, my memory, my understanding,

Prayer to the Divine Mercy
I fly to your mercy, Compassionate God, who
alone is good. Although my misery is great and my offenses are many,
I trust in your mercy, because you are the God of Mercy; and, from
time immemorial, it has never been heard of, nor do heaven or earth
remember, that a soul trusting in your mercy has been disappointed.
O God of compassion, you alone can justify me and you will
never reject me when I, contrite, approach your merciful heart, where
no one as ever been refused, even if he/she were the greatest sinner.
For your Son assured St. Faustina, "Sooner would heaven and earth
turn into nothingness, than would my mercy fail to embrace a trusting
soul."
Jesus, friend of a lonely heart, you are my haven,
you are my peace. You are my salvation, you are my serenity in moments
of struggle and amidst an ocean of doubts. You are the bright ray
that lights up the path of my life. You are everything to a lonely
soul. You understand the soul even though it remains silent. You know
our weaknesses and, like a good physician, you comfort and heal, sparing
us sufferings - expert that you are. Amen
|
Prayer
for a Merciful Heart
O Jesus, I understand that your mercy is beyond
all imagining, and therefore I ask you to make my heart so big that
there will be room in it for the needs of all the souls living on
the face of the earth and the souls suffering purgatory. Make my heart
sensitive to all the sufferings of my neighbor, whether of body or
soul. O my Jesus I know that you act toward us as we act toward our
neighbor. Make my heart like unto your merciful heart. Transform it
into your own heart that I may sense the needs of other hearts, especially
those who are sad and suffering. May the rays of mercy rest in my
heart Jesus; help me to go through life doing good to everyone. Amen.

Our life, our sweetness, and our hope!
To thee do we cry, poor banished
children of Eve. To thee do we send

thine eyes of mercy toward us; and
after this our exile show unto us the

The
Prayer of Saint Thomas Aquinas--Thanksgiving After Mass
Lord, Father all-powerful
and ever-living God, I thank You, for even though I am a sinner,
your unprofitable servant, not because of my worth but in the
kindness of your mercy, You have fed me with the Precious Body
& Blood of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
I Pray that this Holy Communion may not bring me condemnation
and punishment but forgiveness and salvation. May it be a helmet
of faith and a shield of good will. May it purify me from evil
ways and put an end to my evil passions. May it bring me charity
and patience, humility and obedience, and growth in the power
to do good. May it be my strong defense against all my enemies,
visible and invisible, and the perfect calming of all my evil
impulses, bodily and spiritual. May it unite me more closely to
you, the One true God, and lead me safely through death to everlasting
happiness with You.
And I pray that You will lead me, a sinner, to the banquet where
you, with Your Son and Holy Spirit, are true and perfect light,
total fulfillment, everlasting joy, gladness without end, and
perfect happiness to your saints. Grant this through Christ our
Lord. AMEN.

firm faith, hope in good measure and perfect love, that I may be able

spirit. You have redeemed me, Lord God of truth."

Prayer
for our Nation's Health Care Reform
Lord
Jesus, you are the Divine Physician,
And the source of all life and health.
Guide our nation at this critical moment,
As our government seeks health care reforms.
Give our elected officials the humility to know
That they are servants, not masters.
Give them the wisdom to realize
That every life has equal value.
Give them the strength to resist the idea
That some lives can be sacrificed to save others
Or that killing the unborn is a part of health care.
Give your people the courage to speak up
And to hold public officials accountable for their actions.
Save us, Lord Jesus, from a culture of death,
And let every reform in our public policy
Be based on the reform of our hearts and minds
In the light of your Gospel,
For you are Lord forever and ever. Amen.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled
as to console; to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that
we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

May your priests be holy, filled with the fire of your love seeking
nothing but your greater glory and the salvation of souls.

Keep unstained their anointed hands, which daily touch Your Sacred

they minister be their joy and consolation here and in heaven their
beautiful and everlasting crown. Amen.
